Minimally Invasive Lumbar Fusion for Spondylolisthesis

You have a spondylolisthesis of the vertebral levels above.  This is where the two vertebral bodies are not aligned correctly, and in some cases these vertebrae will move abnormally when the patient leans over or leans back. This can also be cause lumbar stenosis, where the area where the bones surround the nerves compresses the nerves.  Patients will typically have back pain, pain in the legs (sciatica), and numbness, tingling, or weakness in the legs.  Patients may also have claudication, which is difficulty walking long distances, which may be improved by leaning over a counter or a grocery cart.
